Description

The pentacle has been worn as a powerful protection symbol for thousands of years. Associated in turn with magic, paganism and Christian mysticism, its earliest connections were with worship of the Goddess, from whose sacred five petaled apple blossoms and seeds the symbol may have been derived. Like the circle it is considered a protective design because of its continuously connecting points. The pentacle has been called the symbol of man, truth, and completion.

Alchemists paired the elements of the earth to those of man - flesh and bones to earth, blood to water, breath to air, body heat to fire, and the soul to ether. The five points also correspond to the five stages of life - birth, puberty, marriage, rest from labors and death.

The runic pentacle bears the runic alphabet, the Futhark, along its perimeter. This 2000-plus year old Nordic alphabet contains a mystery of wisdoms within each letter. With such magical properties encircling the pentacle, a powerful defense is created through which naught can penetrate.

The Runic Pentacle has been carefully reproduced and cast in the highest quality Excelsior Pewter. Polished to a high gloss finish, it comes on a 36" black cord with a descriptive booklet about its magical properties. 	Good quality
	This item was shipped within a good amount of time and packed well. The pendant is light weight but well made, good detail and the cord it hangs on is comfortable and long so that I could choose my own length.
