Description
Symbol of the Pleiades, or seven sisters, the septagram represents a woman not dependant on men. Another interpretation of the Septagram, or seven-pointed star, was that it was chosen by Crowley to be the emblem of Babalon, the Great Whore of the thelemic pantheon. In a way, this is reminiscent of the seven heads of the dragon ridden by the Biblical Whore of Babylon, a figure Babalon is no doubt meant to resemble. (The particular spelling Babalon as opposed to Babylon, derives at least in part from Crowley's use of the system of Enochian magick. In that system's Angelic language, the world babalond means harlot.) There are seven letters in her name, and seven planets of traditional magick. Far from being just an emblem of hedonism, Babalon is a personification of the Sephira Binah, and her lust for the Beast is the lust of Binah for Chokmah, the Sephiroth who together bring about all of manifest Universe. In the Book of Thoth Crowley contained a diagram showing that the planets, when arranged in a certain way around the points of the septagram, show not only the order of the planets as given by the Sephiroth (when one goes in a circle around the septagram), but also the order of the days of the week (when one follows the tracing of the septagram itself). Amazing,
I purchased one of these almost two years ago, had been looking for something like it for quite some time. Nowhere else on the internet have I found one. I rarely take it off and is a great conversation starter if you like having intellectual conversations with interesting people.

sterling septagram pendant
I purchased this piece a few months back and it is simply a stunning piece. I converted it into a necklace, basically a black satin cord. Doesn't need anything else with it. I have worn it many times since and have gotten many compliments. Gorgeous piece, worth every penny.
