This handsome black and silver Scottish Sgian Dubh athame has a decorative crest in the middle of the handle. The crest consists of a Scottish thistle, which is symbolic of courageous defense and deep rooted ideals; olive branches, which represent peace and concordance; and the ankh, which symbolizes wholeness and health. The blade sheath is also decorated with these same symbols, both along the top edge and at the tip. The knife blade itself is made of stainless steel.
